I make this cake every year for my nephew's birthday. He LOVES it, and everyone else loves it too. This cake does not have a cookie texture; it is an actual cake that tastes like a cookie. Serve this warm with some vanilla ice cream and some chocolate syrup!
SERVES 6

Ingredients:
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
splash of vanilla
1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 cup chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and spray a 9 inch cake pan with nonstick spray.
In the bowl of a standing mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream together the butter and both sugars. Mix on medium speed for 2 minutes or until super creamy.
Add in the eggs and the vanilla. Continue to mix for another 1-2 minutes.
In a separate small bowl, briefly mix together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Add the flour mixture to your wet mixture. Mix for 30 seconds at the longest.
Dump in your chocolate chips and mix for 10 seconds.
Pour the batter into your prepared cake pan. Bake in your preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. I like to bake mine closer to 15 minutes because I like the middle to be a little gooey. Cook it as long as you prefer! :) Enjoy!
