"Less is More." That is what I think of when I make this pasta. The ingredient list is so small, but when you use tomatoes that are in season, you can't beat it! :) This is a recipe that I make very often every summer when the tomatoes are perfect! I love this recipe because it has 5 ingredients and literally takes about 10 minutes to put together.

Ingredients:

  • 8-10 Roma tomatoes, diced (or about 3 cups of cherry or grape tomatoes)- use any tomato that want!

  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

  • 2 cloves of garlic, sliced

  • A little less than half a pound of pasta (use any kind you like!)

  • Salt/pepper, to taste

  1. In a large pot, bring some salted water to a boil.

  2. In a large skillet on medium heat, add the olive oil and garlic and cook for about a minute or two. Don't let the garlic burn!

  3. Add in the tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Let this cook for 5-7 minutes, or until a sauce forms.

  4. Cook the pasta in the boiling water according to the package directions.

  5. Serve the sauce on top of your pasta. IT IS SO GOOD!

If you don't have a smoker, this is the recipe for you! It only requires a grill and a crock pot.

PLEASE WATCH OUR YOUTUBE VIDEO ON THIS TO GET AN IN-DEPTH TUTORIAL! :)

Ingredients:

  • 8 lb. Boston butt

  • Spice rub- use whatever you like! We like the "Fox Brothers" BBQ rub

  • Worcestershire sauce

  • Your favorite BBQ sauce

  • Salt (to taste)

  1. The night before you want to cook this, put your Boston butt in a big bowl. Cover both sides liberally with your spice rub, salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Stab the meat all over with a knife. This will help all of the flavor get throughout the meat.

  2. Cover your meat and let it sit in the fridge all night.

  3. Early the next morning (roughly 10 or 11 hours before you want to eat), turn on your grill as hot as it will go. Sear both sides of your Boston butt, starting with the fat pad DOWN. Let it char on all sides. (see video)

  4. Put the meat in an aluminum foil lined crock pot. Cook it on low all day long.

  5. About 45 minutes before you eat, put some BBQ sauce (about 1/2 - 3/4 cup) and some more rub and salt on your meat. Pull the meat apart with 2 forks. Take the bone out.

  6. Add more BBQ as needed to your plate! :)

This is the PERFECT drink for summer! I make this very often during the hot months. It is perfect for a BBQ or outdoor get together!

Ingredients:

  • Simple syrup- 1 cup of water + 1 1/4 cups sugar

  • 2 cups of ice

  • 4 cups of water (add more if you want)

  • 1 1/4 cups fresh lemon juice

  • 2 cups of pureed strawberries (I always use some frozen store bought strawberries that I thaw and then puree)

  1. In a small sauce pan on medium-low heat, melt the 1 1/4 cups of sugar with 1 cup of water. Don't let it boil because it could turn into caramel. Just babysit it and swirl it around in the pan until the sugar melts completely. Then let it cool.

  2. In a large pitcher, add in the 2 cups of ice. Pour in the lemon juice and water.

  3. Add in the cooled simple syrup and the pureed strawberries. Mix well and serve!

***If this is too sweet for you, just add some extra water! :) Enjoy!
